Welcome to our April Newsreel. Here is a round-up of all the latest news.A sell-out and a success
With a 470-strong delegation, representing 29 countries, the Singapore 2010 event has been declared a major success. Marking a mile-stone in ICA history, this all-new event, which took place on March 4/5 at the Fullerton Hotel, was the first cotton conference of its kind to be held in Singapore. Sponsored by some of the world's leading cotton companies, the theme of the two-day event was ‘Protecting your Cotton Business'. Promote your business in our 2010 membership directory
The 2010 ICA Membership Directory will be published later this spring and we want to give you the opportunity to advertise in it to promote your business. The Directory is a high quality publication that is distributed to all our members and throughout the cotton community - it is also available as a FREE download from our website. It has a long shelf life and is a useful business reference for anybody in the cotton trade, containing details of ICA members and arbitrators plus service information. Kai Hughes, ICA Managing Director says:
“This is the first time we have made advertising space available in the Directory so it is a brand new opportunity for businesses to promote their services directly to the target market. We are currently assessing the demand for space to help us determine the cost of placing an advert, which we hope will represent real value for money, with discounts available for ICA members.”

Want to become an ICA Arbitrator?
During 2010 the ICA will be on the road - planning visits to Bangladesh, Pakistan/Dubai, China, USA and Turkey. We will also be attending many of the international cotton industry events. You can sit the ICA Arbitrator Exam (Basic Level 1) at any of these locations or we can try to arrange a location of your choice. To sit the exam you’ll first need to review the course material, which is available as a FREE download from our website. Open to ICA members and non-members, the course will provide you with an introduction to the basic principles of the ICA technical arbitration process. If you would like to sit the exam, please contact us for further information regarding dates and locations.
